Search Maine business entities by name keyword in the Maine Secretary of State business registry. Returns matching entities with name, charter number and name_type (LEGAL, ASSUMED or FORMER). Use the charter with maine/companies for the full entity record.
Search Maine business entities by name keyword. Pass name and count. Returns a list of items, each with charter (the lookup key), name and name_type (LEGAL, ASSUMED or FORMER — a name can be a legal name, an assumed/DBA name or a former name, all pointing at the owning entity's charter). Use the charter with maine/companies for the full entity record (status, dates, addresses, registered agent).
