# Data sources

What Anysite can collect, how to find the endpoint for a source, and how to request a new one.

Goal: find the endpoint that returns the data you need.

## What is covered

Anysite has built-in sources across social networks, jobs, e-commerce, finance, crypto, real estate,
academia, government registries, reviews and maps. Each source exposes endpoints such as a profile,
a search or a list of posts, and each endpoint returns structured JSON. The catalog grows continuously,
so it is not listed here — the [API reference](/docs/api) is always current.

For a page no source covers, the web parser returns the clean content of any URL: `webparser/parse`
for static pages, `webparser/render` for pages rendered by JavaScript. A URL the parser cannot reach
is `412` and is charged; a URL pointing at a PDF, Office document, image or archive rather than a page
is `415`, and because that answer carries no results it is normally free — check `x-credits-charged`.

## Find an endpoint

#### Search the API reference

Open the [API reference](/docs/api) and search by source or by the data you want. Each endpoint
lists its path, parameters, response fields, its price, and the statuses whose meaning is specific
to it — the ones shared by every endpoint are in
    [Errors and limits](/docs/errors-and-limits#statuses-from-the-endpoint).

#### Call it

Call `https://api.anysite.io/api/<endpoint path>` with your key, as in the [Quickstart](/docs/quickstart).
From an AI client, the [MCP server](/docs/mcp/overview) finds and calls the same endpoints for you.

Agents can read the same catalog as JSON: `https://api.anysite.io/docs/api/index` for every endpoint,
`https://api.anysite.io/docs/api/operations/{slug}` for one.

## Verify

The endpoint answers `200` with a JSON array. An entity the source does not have answers `412`, which
is charged; on the database and enrichment endpoints listed in
[Errors and limits](/docs/errors-and-limits#what-is-charged) a miss answers a free `209` instead. An
endpoint that is not available on your plan returns `403` `This endpoint is disabled for your plan`.

## Missing a source

Request it from the dashboard: describe the website and the data you need, and the team builds a
parser and replies in Support, with a copy to your email.
